The primary purpose of the Point of Care Assistant Coordinator (POC) position is to coordinate initial training; competency assessment, monitoring of quality control, instrument maintenance, and proficiency testing activities of the Point of Care Programs including but not limited to Finger Stick-Glucose, Blood Gas, ACT, Urine Pregnancy, Urinalysis, Rapid HIV, Amniotic Fluid pH, % Oxyhemoglobin, Hemoglobin A1C, Strep A, and testing included under the scope of Provider Performed Testing.
