Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science required; BS, MT preferred. Must possess appropriate experience, certification or registration to qualify as general testing personnel in accordance with CLIA'88 regulations. MT(ASCP) or equivalent preferred, or must be obtained within one year of hire. Experience in acute care hospital lab preferred. Applicant should be detail-oriented, be proficient in the use of computer systems, and be able to develop good working relationships with others. Applicant must be able to work in a latex environment.

Under the direction of the Section Head with oversight by the Laboratory Manager the Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing clinical laboratory procedures which require the exercise of independent judgment and responsibility in those categories in which he/she is qualified by education, training and experience.
