Job Requirements:
Must have a bachelors degree from an accredited college in Medical Laboratory Science or an associates degree from an accredited college in Medical Laboratgory Technology, or equivalent.
Must have a current certification with ASCP or other equivalent certification agency. If not currently certified, must be able to obtain certification within 1 year of hire. Current BLS or obtain within 30 days of hire.
Job Description:
MLS/MLT must Follows policies and procedures maintaining a safe work environment. Must accurately Perform laboratory testing effectively in blood bank, chemistry, hematology, coagulation, microbiology, serology, and urinalysis. Evaluates patient results and takes appropriate action as need. Performs quality control, instrument function checks, and preventative maintenance as required according to department policies and procedures. Teaches new employees laboratory policies and procedures.
