Job Requirements:


* Bachelor's degree in related field

* Graduate of an accredited Medical Technologist program.

* Florida licensure (or eligible) as a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor in Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Serology and Microbiology.

* National certification as a Medical Technologist (MT).

* At least 5 years as a Medical Technologist and 2 years of experience in a hospital setting in a leadership role.

* Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

* Able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

In this full-time position, you will assist laboratory leadership with leading team members in assigned area or section(s); demonstrate and provide advanced knowledge of the section(s) job responsibilities; verify analytic accuracy, precision, sensitivity and reference ranges for test methods and instruments; perform quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting; participate in the development of new testing policies and procedures. You will also assist or provide monitoring, coaching and evaluation of team members' performance, especially in the areas of productivity and quality management. In conjunction with laboratory leadership, determines and coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments; ensure staff compliance with regulatory, departmental and organizational policies, procedures and protocols; perform the job responsibilities of a medical technologist or medical laboratory scientist.
