Job Requirements:

EDUCATION
For MT, Bachelor's degree is required; for MLT, two-year degree or equivalent military training. May also consider Bachelor students enrolled in their last semester.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
ASCP or NCA certification (or eligible) as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician or equivalent military certification.

OTHER SKILLS
Performs various lab testing and associated duties. Communicates information with internal & external customers as appropriate. Maintains required work skills within assigned department(s).

ABOUT CARLE
Carle Foundation Hospital is a teaching hospital, regional referral center, Level I Trauma Center and Level III Perinatal Center. Our laboratory delivers highly specialized care to a wide range of high acuity patients including Adult and Pediatric Intensive Care, Neonatal Intensive Care and Emergency Room Traumas. We also provide lab services for a 350 physician multi-specialty group practice. Our laboratory performs 1.5 million tests per year.

Carle Laboratory is dedicated to using technologically advanced equipment to provide the best treatment for our patients. We utilize automation lines in both Hematology and Chemistry. We continually assess new technologies and procedures to remain current and proactive within our practice. We offer a broad test menu including:
  •  Molecular testing
  •  Flow Cytometry
  •  Special Coagulation
  •  Virology and Mycology
We are dedicated to promoting the laboratory profession with a focus on quality and customer service as it relates to our practice. The Clinical Practice Council is comprised of laboratory staff that assesses laboratory processes and recommends suggestions for improvement.
