1. Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry or Biology is preferred. At the discretion of laboratory director other college degrees or non-degree educational preparation may be acceptable. At a minimum, ninety hours of documented college courses, to include courses in Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics are required.
2. Documented training in a clinical laboratory focused Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology and Blood Banking is required.
3. Documentation of successful completion of examination for medical technologist, clinical laboratory scientist, medical laboratory scientist or equivalent through ASCP, NCA, HHS, OR AMT

Kootenai Health is currently hiring for Medical Laboratory Scientist to work in our state of the art facility. Kootenai Health's Laboratory & Pathology Services provide a full range of diagnostic laboratory services that support acute, emergency, and routine out-patient testing.  Our Lab test for and provides full support of several different specialties through a hospital-based point of care testing. 

In this role, you will work with some of the best pathologists, laboratory scientists, and other specialists in our laboratory medicine, clinical pathology or anatomic pathology specialties.

Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Transfusion Medicine, Pathology, Immunology, Endocrinology, Toxicology
